Things really get cracking when Eddy, Patsy and Saffy get locked in the living room. The episode opens with Patsy, half covered in soot, being awakened in Eddy’s charred kitchen after passing out with a lit cigarette in her mouth. When Patsy and Eddy travel to Morocco with Saffy, “Ab Fab” turns its penchant for absurdity up a notch when Saffy is sold into white slavery. Patsy preps for a magazine interview by getting a face peel, leaving her with scarring that would scare the zombies on “The Walking Dead.” While recovering from toe surgery in the hospital bed next to her, Eddy envisions an alternate reality that includes guitar-playing feminist Germaine Greer as her mother and Helena Bonham Carter as her suddenly fashionable daughter Saffy. To get Saffy’s attention, she crashes her high school DNA presentation - and ruins it, with help from Patsy. While others may have changed, Eddy has not. After a soak, she discovers that Saffy is studying with a cute boy and the normally useless Bubble has become efficient. Incapable of buying food in the village, Eddy steals a baguette, while Patsy is harassed by a gibbering old guy back at the “chalet.” The episode is filled with pratfalls, Franglais and the unsettling realization that Patsy might actually enjoy playing ping-pong with Saffy.Įddy has her very own isolation tank flown in from LA.
